DESERTICA SS—20
The desert, as hypnotic mineral beauty, is a vaste space of sand and succession of deceptively immobile dunes, that in reality are continually redefined by the wind and the time. Such inspiration is evoked by the combination of neutrals tones like ecru white, stone, beige with more vivid ones like orange, sky blue, deep iridescent blue, curcuma yellow and green and reddish nuances. Cottons and linens also blended with silks are chosen in different weights and textures. A special linen Solaro is the signature fabric of the collection as an homage to a pure colonial style. Soft and impalpable fabrics are mixed-up with structured ones and crispy and paper-like ones. It is functional to a layered clothing architecture creating asymmetrical volumes and shapes that conceptually recalls the Tuareg people with their overplayed cloths protecting them both from the heat and cold of the desert.
